Cottage Contempt

These modern houses look nice and all, but B isn't buying until a thorough inspection. Help him explore the house from bottom to top so he feels safe signing the dotted line!

A really nice level. Like all your designs: CLEVER! Took numerous attempts but utterly satisfying when B reached the summit.

Beautiful, so far Mr. Penguin is Mekorama's best creator in the meaning of following genuine idea of the game.

Nice puzzle. Climbing P to the win failed me thrice. Almost gave up but one more try and it worked. Clever

Hard for me to rate, because I agree that it's a very clever puzzle and well-designed in many ways. The level has various phases, with problems to solve to progress to the next phase, and it's tricky and has a lovely & satisfying ending. I just got a little too frustrated with it. Maybe it's just me, but it was too much "trial & error" and not enough logic.

The first several moves were a little slow and the mechanisms with the first two balls occasionally jammed or were very delayed (not good when timing is required). This made the many restarts I need to solve it less endearing to me. Although this wasn't really a "hidden things" level, it was still hard to get a good feel for what some of the balls did or could do because of the level's hidden areas. That made putting it all together harder than it seemingly needed to be.

In case it will help someone else in my situation, I will broadly describe some of the opening moves:
B herds P to where B started so that P is now frozen.
      B needs to unfreeze P.
      Get B down a level.

I also made a video. Hope someone finds it useful. I enjoyed playing it more after I knew how to solve it.

  • Basically none except for the basic R-walking behaviors. There's a variant of the block-on-eye trick, but it's not the usual setup and should be fairly intuitive.
