I was trying to start a conversation with a member and post a photo from IMGUR but I keep getting "You've tried posting a sneaky URL, please remove it." I've updated the photo 5 times and I get the same result no matter which direct link I use. Any help?

Thanks for the link - but I wasn't getting any warnings regarding posts? I just retried and the same conversation already started was successful sent so either there was a glitch or creating my post HERE helped. Thanks
Maybe the error message regarding the sneaky URL should be modified as I tried 5 different photo posts (I assumed there was a sequence of characters [like www] on some websites that was causing the issue) and there was no mention of any post requirements. It was frustrating as I couldn't get something done but it's working now.
Sorry, that's a software characteristic (Xenforo forum platform) that would not be possible to modify even if one of the staff had Super Admin permissions. I could remove the requirement and allow links on a free-for-all basis, but that could lead to members receiving spam via private conversations. I understand the frustration you experienced and am saddened by it. I know that others may even encounter the problem when replying to a private conversation when they quote the prior message by default and in contains a link. I just don't know of any better way to keep people safe beyond trying to educate them via the yellow system notices. The one I linked to above even has been set to not being able to be dismissed until a post in the forum section is made.
