Hi I really enjoyed Monument Valley and that's what made me find this game. Anyways, I love the way optical illusions confuse so many people and I was thinking of making a few levels with optical illusions. Do you guys think this is a good idea? In a few minutes I will post a test optical illusion and see what you think of it. Feel free to tell me what you think
i tried to make an opticall isllusion level also, but i didn't finish it. ofcourse you ca try, but keep in mind that most people use "free camera" which destroys the purpose of the level.
In comparison to Monument Valley, Mekorama has implemented gravity that can limit optical illusion level designs.
I love optical illusions such as Monument Valley. Before Mekorama I played at Evo Explores (iTunes and Android), a great clone of MV. That draws me to Mekorama and the illusion falls down to the creation. I tried to create a tiny optical illusion level with Melimelo but Mekorama is definetly not designed to work on a such way... Anyway, optical illusions even not in the same way that MV are great to see !
The card depiction of this level gives you an illusion that becomes apparent as soon as you start. The game dynamics give you another one (pm if you want to know what it is without playing through.
I think the question here is: why not? I, personally, like to be surprised and teased a bit. What i think is most important i making levels: can you finish it yourself? If so, bring it on!
