Statistics Levels Statistics - From June to October 2016

One week has passed since october, so it's time to publish some statistics (based on this research thread). Big surprise! You're not going to find october only but all results since last june. Of course everything is from today, so, as an example, results from june could take into account one rating that has been done yesterday.

Special thanks to @B Hill for the methodology and to @vince, @cpw, @sawdust, @Astral_Mage, @chemi, @Frenzies, @richardfu for their involvement and initiatives in that reflection

I hope it will be inspiring for your play time. I've added 2 more diagrams on number of uploads per day and number of new members per day just for the record.

There are some curious parts in the diagrams. For example:
1. In August 2016, two levels with 9 rates of 4.89 earns only 6.00 points, which is a huge difference from the top levels, while they actually have similar statistics with the top levels.
2. In June 2016, the top level has 7 rates of 5.00, with a full score of 40.00. However, near the middle of the diagram, two levels having 8 rates of 5.00 get scores of 22.00.
I thought rates and rating together make up 70% of the score, and I can't make sense of these huge differences. Can you show me their score breakdown (or your code)?

Thanks for the feedback @richardfu_ I'll take a further look tomorrow but your points are interesting. I have also seen some elements such as 3 levels scored 36 in june which could have deserved a different order. Maybe that's the difference with a traditional approch: the score is supposed to order groups of different categories, but I didn't order into a category. Well... A little bit late for me now (and a little sick too).

Nice work! At least my Motorcycle V2 was able to reach the top 30 (in last place, but top 30 is top 30 ).

Sadly, I see a lot of great levels that aren't too high in the list, like Claw Machine Box, Joystick (Tilt-A-Ball is no. 1 for some reason...), Garden of Sal, etc., and it really depends on how many great levels were published at that month.

For example, my Motorcycle level reached there with just 2 ratings, and my Win the Odd Bot didn't with 6, but that's really how ranking works. Overall it's a nice ranking system. Thanks for working so hard for this!

Once again, really great work @Gepeto ! The amount of time you've dedicated to the forum is impressive

Though, I also have similar doubts like @richardfu_ ......I posted three levels in October (Catch Me If You Can, The Imposters and Ship Maintenance) and both the first two obtained five 5* ratings. The first one also got almost 1000 views due to the large amount of comments / queries So I am in fact quite surprised that it didn't appear on the list. I didn't really study the calculation method like @richardfu_ did, though, so I might be wrong Plus there are so many great levels in October with 6+ ratings I think I still need to work harder.

Yep, I tried too hard in that one. My newer giant level (The Unconscious) is much more straightforward after I learnt from my previous one. Perhaps I should make more levels like my Upside Down

Along with the quartile scoring I had generated the log2 scoring. Following is these results in the same way than before, then I will add a poll so that everyone can decide which is the best to him. The vote will be open one week and I will do futures stats according to it.

The log method could look more simple but it does not avoid the problem it is supposed to solve: in october the level clockworks (9 rates of 4.67 stars) is above the level tower defense (7 rates of 5 stars). Besides I have the feeling that the quartiles method is a very powerful statistical tool. Deciding the weight of each criteria is another issue...
