Is anyone having issues since L bot appeared. I am finishing testing a level that uses R bot flying. The rate of ascent has slowed dramatically since my game development was frozen and is causing playability problems. I can tell this because I videod a run through of the complete level before L put in an appearance on the tool bar and I have made no changes since making the video. Having said that a welcome addition to the game otherwise.
There is a change in how much upward force is applied to the bots. Before 1.5, this force was constant but now it adapts to the mass of the bots instead. This change was made to support large bots and fix a bug with the single-block R that was turning in a random fashion. The single-block R now uses less upward force, which could be related to your issue perhaps?
Thank you for a very prompt and useful reply to my very first post on the forum. Given I am allowing 'B' to piggy back on the rising ''R' I think your explanation provides the answer. I now need to work out my next move to compensate for the change. The attached video illustrates the change, first ascent filmed before 1.5 and the second after.
I have modified the bot to lift a hex cylinder on top of R, increasing the mass. As per your information the bot now lifts about twice the speed, the original speed before 1.5. 'B' steps on to this additional cylinder rather than directly on to 'R'. Problem solved. Thank you.
