Will be nice to see some improvements over editor like "undo", top/bottom view or moving created parts. It's slighlty frustrating editing levels right now.
hum, a undo function is a good idea but where? The draft block can delete block who do more. We need a precision for create the level for place a block where do you want. Train ... train... Ps : me I begin with little structure.
I could only made my two levels thanks to the S-pen in Galaxy Note 4. The S-pen improve the precision to place objects.
Now, when you put block in wrong place you must choose delete tool, delete block, choose previous block and put it again with hope you don't miss the place again. A lot of UI clicks. With "undo" separated key, you click only one key and put block again in right place. Nice, easy and time saving. Another editor feature that save time could be "level duplicator". With this feature I could save level in "design state", duplicate it and use to buid new level. Now I must buid new level from scratch ;(
I don't understand for delete tool... Time saving is very good think, you don't return a structure For the level duplicator... it is no to be early? What is the terms of use level and contribution?
Delete tool = trashcan icon Level duplicator only for your editor levels. You can build for example bottom level layer with water or etc. end use it as a start point for your other new levels.
oh i suppose you speak another function for delete tool, sorry a restriction for level duplicator ? Maybe... but for that it need to check the terms of use or CGU (I ask http://mekoramaforum.com/threads/did-he-have-a-cgu-for-take-share-and-use-a-level-in-mekorama.20/)
I think you misunderstood my point of view. By "level duplicator" I mean feature that you can copy level YOU made in editor in any state. For example: open new level, put stone wall, exit editing, name level "stone wall", duplicate it, so there will be 2 same card, change name of a copy to "stone wall 2", edit copied card. You can modify copy, but you have backup of your start position in "stone wall" card. I can't write it more clearly.
I think it need a another topic for your this request for duplicate card ? Or change your topic subject. here we try to study for the editor, and I like your idea to use trashcan icon for undo or delete, but the function delete all is be necessary A simple click -> undo the last action A click more long -> delete card
Let me add my support to an undo function. I have made four complete levels now and I really wish I'd had it at times. Also I couldn't agree more with the idea of adding a duplicate level ability for user-created levels. I like to reuse contraptions in new ways and it would be fantastic not to have to rebuild them every time.
+1 for undo. Also, it would be good to have somthing for viewing and editing on cross section, which will be convienent for editing the block inside the level.
I'm desperate for an undo button. It's annoying when you accidentaly placed a slider rail deep inside your puzzle's mechanism and when you want to delete the rail you accidentally deleted the blocks around it very time wasting ans annoying, especially when you have a lot to do.
Shake to undo, is my only (need to have) request for the editor. Nice to have: -Ability to move parts around -Dublicate Levels (ovn Levels) -Ability to remix a level (level made by:xx and Remixed by:: yyy) -Ability to EDIT a level on another device
A way to share editable cards is good it really comes handy to duplicate levels, create developmental backups when making a complex level, continue making a level on another device, sharing an unfinished level to be finished by others, even sharing experimental levels that just show how to have motors rotating in opposite direction, etc. It would be useful But beware of hacks turning un-editable into editable cards when this has been implemented XD
Undo would be nice, but there's already a trashcan button, so an additional button may be confusing...what about the ability to undo by long pressing the block you want to remove? Also, it would help to be able to either go into some kind of "xray" mode or to be able to tilt the building so you can place a block in an inaccessable place...
I imagined that the undo button would be at the upper part of the screen, next to the "test" button or somewhere near there
