I still fall on my face sometimes and I Can't color inside the lines 'cause I'm perfectly incomplete I'm still working on my masterpiece...
I had to read it and I agree, really good! I felt like reading a movie review or something like that!
I was hesitating at first to do it because I need to start at the very first levels. And I need time to do that which I don't have much. So I guess it will take years until I reach the latest level. :P Glad you liked it. :)
As a player, I feel more pride in finishing a level when there are no hints - even despite the fact that I almost never look at hints. I think it's human nature also to try harder when there is no easier path.
Oh okay, coz I just notice that people get more interested on the level if there's a spoiler. I don't know. :)
As @nGord said, it's up to you. I'd say that if your level has some kind of trick that's not well known or not very intuitive, it could be appreciated, then again, some players will probably like the challenge of figuring out everything by themselves...
Neither is, but at least with just metal you can create some fun puzzles and mechanisms, but adding random eyes an zappers when there are no robots? They don't have a lot of other functions...
