Yep, this works better. I tried 20 attempts for each different timing when L tilts forward. I found out that when L is going for long legs(haven't tilt forward yet) has the highest success rate for me of about 80%. But the timing is one very important factor. Everytime it fails, L stopped at the third wedge. And I have no idea how to get the other stars.
@mastersifu I'm glad to hear it worked. Although not 100%. Sometimes he can continue climbing, even if he stops midway.
@mastersifu I found something interesting. If this is working and stable on all devices, I think this trick needs a simpler name (cc: @delator77 ).
@cimarronline I want to change the title to Wedge Climbing, is that okay? and which prefix should I use?
@Labyrenight Yes, of course. I can do it if you have any trouble. You don't have to have a prefix, but maybe "bot paths"?
If you like drag-slider, we can place the stair from bottom. With eye as a hold, slider won't come back down even if it's only half raised. So that we don't have to hold slider and robot will be free from freezing.
This time I used the original structure of wedge climbing. I moved the stair forward a little. First step L does not immediately climb, but it will float and then leave. The second step L will climb the wedge (if you see the movement is like an elevated stair).
When researching about Star Pass. I found something interesting. Stars can make robots climb blocks (even through them, like Autopilot). For that I tried to apply it to a wedge climbing, and it worked.
I doubt anyone else will use this trick on their level. People tend to present their own inventions because it will give a surprise. Or use common tricks. On that basis I will try to make a "Level" in this thread (or my other threads). This is purely for my own pleasure, as those levels will relate to GFRIEND and VIVIZ.
I started working on something similar when I first learned about star pass from you. I was trying to develop it further but got distracted and forgot to go back. If you have any ideas for it and want to collaborate let me know.
Now we can place stair parallel to the wedge. So we can use the horizontal slider. It takes a small gap (two wedges that meet) so that robot can pass through wedge and climb.
I'm learning Diagonal Walking and trying to combine it with wedge climbing. It works but can only climb two wedge levels. For that I added a Gravity Gun and Up structure, so the robot can climb higher.
