Hello! My name is Per Nyblom and I am currently working with Martin on Mekorama. Right now I am evaluating the suggestions for the "Master Makers" page, and we hope to be able to add 5-10 new levels for the next release. Below is the current list of levels that are currently evaluated. Some of them are perfectly fine as they are but others may require some modification before inclusion. We will never include a level that is modified without an approval from the author first though. We are trying to avoid as many special tricks as possible to make the levels playable without any deep knowledge about Mekorama exploits or tricks. Since I am not an expert player myself, I will also cherish all the advice, information and spoilers you can give me Here comes the list: https://mekoramaforum.com/media/track-builder.9591/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/joystick.1268/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/turning-point.19269/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/the-sculpture.4425/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/book-n-adventure.19948/ https://mekoramaforum.com/attachments/_201004_165912_863-png.25371/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/align.3475/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/six-faces.20294/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/day-and-night.6761/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/hotfixes.5848/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/track-breaker.11176/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/endless-ball.12409/ https://mekoramaforum.com/media/order-in-court.11399/ I haven't completed all these levels myself yet, so I am not sure if they use some exploits that we want to avoid or are just too difficult Some comments about some of the levels: "The Sculpture" is possibly depending a bit too much on the old camera, but that can maybe be fixed with hints. "Book n adventure" is a bit too unforgiving as it is now, so I would like to make it a lot easier, especially at the beginning. But I need to get an approval from the author first. "Endless Ball" is just a visually stunning spectacle and really too easy to consider a puzzle. Thank you very much for all the suggestions! EDIT 1: Added "order in court" to the list
All those are cute, would still love to see something from @Star Penguin in the list - https://mekoramaforum.com/media/order-in-court.11399/ is an excellent one, as are https://mekoramaforum.com/media/infinity-switch.12474/ and https://mekoramaforum.com/media/altar-of-loyikn.13820/ None of the 3 need tricks or exploits, just logic. EDIT: my mistake - "Infinity Switch" uses autopilot. However, @Star Penguin has quite a few excellent 'logic only' levels. However, I'd rather see a return of the precision tapping.
The levels in the list do not need exploits to be solved. I agree with you on "Book n adventure", it is really unforgiving as it is now (I have not managed to finish it). I agree with @D.S.Masters about including some @Star Penguin levels. For the level "ball traffic" one or two balls could be a little tricky to push. And if you have to choose between "six faces" and "turning point", I prefer "six faces" Thanks !
Thanks for the info and the feedback! I added "Order in Court" by Star Penguin to the evaluation list. More levels will be considered for later releases as well, so we get a good mix of authors and level types.
"Altar of Loyikn" is another excellent one from @Star Penguin - no tricks or exploits needed, just ball order and an excellent mechanism.
Something else I've been made aware of that needs to be addressed in the next update - I'm using the latest version of Mekorama (multiple viewing angles, predictive tapping), and I've noticed that folks still using the older version (1.1) are having trouble reading the cards that I post; they have to enlarge them to read the QR code, and that's after I've used Mekostudio to optimize the QR code. That sounds like an incompatibility that needs to be taken care of.
Thanks a lot for the info @D.S.Masters. We had some issues with getting the QR scanner working on the new version, but we didn't expect it to be an issue on the old version. No intentional changes has been made to the QR code image generation. Are you able to scan the problematic image with the new version? We are also going to add more levels in future updates, which will most likely include more levels from @Star Penguin
I haven't tried scanning any of my own levels, but I have scanned / downloaded levels from other folks who are also using the new version, so there's no problem there - it's just the old version having trouble reading the new version.
I vote for H3lv3c10's Rollercoastering. It's not a puzzle per se, but it's a level that captures Mekorama's fun spirit. Also, the level effectively builds a thematic world with a slice of story telling. (B goes to the amusement park, rides the rollercoaster, makes a new friend
Here is the final list of new "master makers" levels for Mekorama 1.3: - Track Breaker (cpw) - Align (KPACABA) - Hotfixes (Richard Fu) - Joy Stick (KPACABA) - Order in Court (Star Penguin) - Turning Point (Vince) - Altar of Loyikn (Star Penguin) - Six Faces (Vince) - Endless Ball (Mr. Kelso) - Rollercoastering (h3lv3c10) Thank you very much for all the great suggestions!
Here are some level recommendations by @Blue Tower. Spoiler: Robo City https://mekoramaforum.com/media/robo-city.20764/ Spoiler: THUNDER SHOW! (removed trick) https://mekoramaforum.com/media/thunder-show.20789/ This is the real level link, the one that has the trick. Add this if there are more updates.
Glad to see many Famous Creator Levels in new version of Mekorama, but I'm still hope at least one of my logic level will get attention
@Per Nyblom Hi! I have built fewer levels since I became a moderator, but here is my latest level with no tricks required: https://mekoramaforum.com/media/noisy-buddies.21319/
