I've seen levels with more than one B, with the others acting like Rs. One I remember is Inner Devil by @richardfu_ . How is this done? I tried with mekostudio (great tool--thanks to @Gepeto) but I can't seem to set which one is the real B. I want to make the other "B" a zapper, if this can be done. Any help? P.S. I just remembered a yellow zapper in The Princess (richardfu_ again). So it can be done.
What you do is you fill the entire floor with zappers and then you put down a block. Afterwards you place a yellow robot on the block you just placed. This will make the block darker even though the yellow robot doesn't show up, so now all you have to do is place down more yellow robots wherever you please! Afterwards just start the level (you should crash) then delete all the zappers and boom! Multiple yellow robots! Like this:
Is this using mekostudio? I don't understand "start the level"... With mekostudio, I can create multiple yellow bots, but can't seem to control which one will act like B and which will act like R. Is there a way? Maybe I'm just not understanding...
He means play test it. While making a level in the app, you can press pause and then play to execute the level as you've built it thus far. Starting the level with all those zappers will result in the level crashing, but after the crash, the yellow B bots that you had place atop the zappers will become visible and you can go ahead and delete the floor of zapper blocks. Yes, you can make any of the yellow bots a zapper except the one that will actually be the one and only B bot. In other words, the other yellow bots will really be R bots with a yellow body. Not necessary in my experience. I found that if you have enough zapper blocks that then placing a yellow bot will cause it to be invisible and you can thus place more than one. If you don't have enough zapper blocks, then the yellow bot placement will not be invisible and you can only place one. Similarly, I found that you don't actually need to crash the level by starting it to make this exploit work. Having the yellow bots invisible is enough. To make them all visible though, you would either need to play test the level or exit the card and re-open it.
Okay, thanks, that's good to know. This level is extensive, so it's not feasible to rebuild in the app. But that's interesting. It seems that in mekostudio, when there are multiple yellow bots, the one closest to you at the beginning is automatically B (which is not what I want). Well, it's not that important, but if anyone knows more about this in mekostudio, I'd be interested to know.
Just wanted to see what @nGord explained and wanted to crosscheck something. In another thread it turned out that 254 seems to be a certain limit for identical objects and special behavior for other objects. To my eyes it looks like that with 254 zappers and below the yellow bots start becoming visible. (I took only a quick look into this, I might have overseen something. In the video I placed 2 yellow bots, the tap for the 3rd bot obviously was outside the world's maximal size. But you get the idea also despite the missing 3rd bot.)
Oi wait! I am SURE I'VE seen MORE than one level with yellow bots! It was something about a city, or village, I don't recall the name but it was like “Bot City.” Or “Bot Village” (and also instead of Bot a The.) I also think I played one level of parkour with a crowd of yellow bots. Though I've tried to search those levels, however I can't find them, they'll prolly got deleted or I got really bad bloody luck.
