In lieu of there not being a hint mechanism for user created levels, it might be interesting for there to be a statistics panel where one can get info about particular levels. Info can include: The level size in blocks (e.g. 10x8x12). The total number of blocks used in the level. A count of each block type used (i.e. number of draggable, slider, rails, ball, zapper, bot, motor, win, etc. blocks) Not only can this info be used to get a hint to what hidden blocks are present, but can also be to determine if it's a level you'll find enjoyable (e.g. if you hate zappers, you can avoid levels with zappers; if you prefer having a B-Bot you can guarantee having a B-Bot; you can also rule out levels without a Win block). A stat panel screenshot could be loaded along with a QR code pic as a hint/summary. Alternatively the panel might only be available to levels that you yourself create in the editor.
I was thinking something similar, with a notation for solved levels showing how long it took you to solve it.
A video would be solution, not a hint. A stat panel be way to get more information about a level without outright providing a solution. Granted level creators can always add "spoiler" comments to their level thread. Such a panel could be used to weed out levels which don't have Win blocks.
I'd like him to make it so we can write hints on our own levels, so people who have paid can see a tiny hint if they want to, (which may or may not be useful).
though i like the idea, i never really feel like i am "beating" a level whenever i see a hint. completeing a level is no fun to me once i have seen a hint.
