As many know, @richardfu_ was asked back in September 2016 by @Martin Magni to take over selecting and featuring levels from this forum to the official Mekorama Facebook page. Some of the Moderators and I have tabled the results thus far in a spreadsheet that can be viewed here. Along with @chemi, we have also gone and tagged each and every featured level with the word "facebook" and the results of which can be seen in the Levels section filtering for this tag or simply clicking on the link on the homepage. Going forward, I'm happy to announce that @richardfu_ has been given the title of Featured Levels Manager and @chemi has been given the title of Featured Levels Assistant to better recognize their efforts. I Observe that many levels are select for official FB page but i doesn't understand the process of selecting FB level any one explain me that process.
@PvB The process is that I go through all the levels in the forum and pick the levels which I think meets the standard. Usually I only consider levels which received four 5-star ratings or more, unless the level somehow catches my attention otherwise (I can only remember one such case - Tangram 2). When deciding whether the level will be featured I would consider the following: Stability: The level works as intended most of the time, if not always. Players have consistent experience when playing the level Intuitiveness: The level can be figured out by someone without much experience/knowledge of tricks Creativity: The level has something different from other levels. Aesthetics: It has a satisfying/interesting appearance. Unique solution: minimal shortcuts, consistent gameplay for all players. Length: The level is neither too short nor too long. Difficulty: The level isn't too hard for the average player, but still provides challenge in some way.
I just wanna ask, when maybe @richardfu_ will goes to do Featured Levels on Facebook again. I'm very missed to waiting the post everyday. I hope he can add new featured levels again, because I think, many Author missed that too
I know this is as old thread, but I really wish the featured Facebook levels would come back. What happened to them?
@richardfu_ stopped featuring levels on the Facebook page. I remember the reason is because it was very time-consuming to do so.
