To easily control the ball and not use the freeze effect, you need:
take and twist slowly only the top FD!!! Side FDs create havoc. You only need to move the FD that is on top!

If you "roll" the ball and B seem wanna fall, stop rolling and tap on the middle of the ball. B will back to the top again. If when you do that and B wanna jump, roll the ball opposite to B jump direction. B will stop.
