No tricks required. Will make a video solution later Btw the stuck metal design thingy that looks like a cross has a purpose. To release the balls more quickly when they get stuck. In case you are impatient with that ball sticking, you can drag and hold the metal design inward.
Ingenious, fun ball mechanism! But on my ipad, the zapper immediately falls by itself. Here's a slight variation that seems to work on the ipad: Spoiler: edited card for ipad
I agree with @ridgerunner that the mechanism jamming was quite annoying, however, the gameplay was very fun, deceptive and logical. Thanks @P_simorf

Awesome wave lift although it did stick a few times causing a restart. Figuring out ball direction and order was total fun! Especially B's ball travel in the corner took a bit! Great return path, all in all a fabulous level!
