Hello people ! 2 possibilities : - The aim of the game is to understand the mechanisms of the machine (typically by trial and error) in order to free B, by the power of your intellect! (The explanation of the mechanism is to be found down below* ) - BUT if you are bored with that - or don't even want to try - here are a few hints to help you finding the code : Spoiler: HINT #1 NATURE OF THE CODE The code is a 4 digits number you will have to type one digit after the other, in the right order Spoiler: HINT #2 HOW TO VALIDATE After you typed the code, you will have to "enter" it by pushing the "unlock" button Spoiler: HINT #3 SOME MATHS The number is a triangular and hexagonal number. It also has 36 divisors Spoiler: HINT #4 SOME HISTORY When were the Rio Olympics? When did the Rosetta space mission finally end? When did Bob Dylan receive the Nobel Prize for Literature? Spoiler: HINT #5 MORE IMPORTANT HISTORY What is the most important year for every Mekorama player? Spoiler: ANSWER TO THAT When Mekorama was created ! And also the Mekorama Forum !! Go and see the date of the first levels here I hope you will enjoy the level! *EXPLANATION Spoiler: OF THE MECH The machine is basically a ball-pusher. When you press a digit (or the alarm symbol), you release a ball. TO DO : After you pressed the 4 correct digits in the good order, the last of the corresponding ball ends in the "green" hole waiting for validation. NOT TO DO : If you press a digit which is not in the code OR if enter the right digits in the wrong order, one ball goes to the "red" tank, waiting for validation. THEN After "validation" (by pressing the unlock symbol) : - if at least one ball is present in the "red" tank, it will activate the fall of the zappers : B is dead ! You lose. - if there is a ball in the "green" hole, it will activate the fall of B on the path to the Win Block
@ridgerunner I’m happy of what you say because in the first place, I considered to close the box around the mech. And make it a « guess the number » game … But then I thought it would be more interesting for players to watch the inside and make conclusions. Thanks for playing the game !
Looking at the level I immediately liked the level for the nice keypad, the complicated looking mechanism and ball maze behind, and also some details like that skull/face with the flashy eyes. I then started playing with the mechanism without reading any comments and noticed balls rolling and different channels of different colours. Then, some special effects happened, poor B! After a while looking at some comments Spoiler: hint (and also remembering the year when I first played Mekorama), I managed to enter the right code and win the level. It was fun to watch those balls perform different actions. It must have taken a long time to engineer this mechanism to accept the correct code only.
I really like the mechanism and design of the numbers and the design of the entity with dangerous electric eyes. Honestly, I also couldn't solve the riddle of the numbers and also solved this problem mechanically. Thank you for opening the mechanism!! Good work
@Goetz Wow thank you ! Yes it took some time to design but not so much actually ?! But the main part was to think of the different possibilities. (In fact, I think I found a better way to build the mechanism but it was 1/4 hour ago . Too late !) @Denis Nazin I wonder if someone will crack the code with the clues as you and the others have used your brains (and good for you! ). I would have liked some people would do a Wikipedia research … Ok. I definitely did good in leaving the level open Thank you the both of you !!
Yes I think open this level makes sense. I inspected the mechanism and tried some balls. Remembered the right numbers in order, and got to the win. It's an impressive mechanism. That appreciation could not exist if the mechanism was hidden. How it forces the right order, and no use of wrong numbers, is impressive. The keypad, the owl (I thought), they look great.
This is a really cool mechanism and a great looking level. I also solved it by looking at the mechanism. And I love the grenades dropping at the end.
Wow! astonishing design & mechanism .Trial & error was my technique due to my lack of skill with code levels .Thanks @Valentin great job, yes sir!
@Block builder @MekaSage @delator77 Thank you friends for playing and commenting (and rating ! PCR let's say). So everyone of you choosed technic #1. The funny part is that I am not very patient these days when playing Mekorama ... I am pretty sure I would have read the hints to find the code if I wasn't the one who planned the thing @Block builder I have no idea if the owl in an owl ?!?!... It is an improvisation and was recreational after making the machine. Let's say it is an owl. With hands!
