Connect the same "plug" together, and motors is always next to half metal pillars. There is the order of the "plug" on the back, go check it

Spoiler: Tip 2

Once you matched the plug, take B go to the empty room and then match the next order, that's it

Guys come on! Read the first comment...

Look at the three different symbols where the switches are. Now look at the backside, there is the order. On the sides are the areas where B needs to go after solving the three steps puzzle. Imagine you have to connect the same kind of symbols. The switches are the connectors.

@R 'oland thanks, I see now. I was distracted by the grey squares dotted around and didn't recognize which were the clues. Got it now!

Wow. One of those puzzles that has you scratching your head until you have that 'aha!' moment and suddenly the way is clear. Amazing mechanism design.
