Paradoxes

If a theory ends in a paradox, the theory is either completely wrong, or missing pieces.

Paradoxes

      I liked your level but dropped a star because after numerous tries I just couldn't hit the win.
      I was close as I believe I figured out your logic but each time it fell differently and I just couldn't hit the win. I see why you named it as such.
      Thanks none the less.

      @gmacpro I'm confused, did you finish the level?
    • gmacpro
      @Block builder No I didn't.
      "I was able to roll the ball but the other device fell off always differently so I couldn't win. I was 1 mm away from the button but couldn't hit it. Should I have a hint?"

      @gmacpro Your theory on how to solve the paradoxes is incorrect, I'm afraid.

      You think you have solved the slider paradox, but there is a missing piece.

      This theory is complete bogus and falls apart. The reason this theory exists, is only because the first theory is incomplete.

      There is a hidden win. It is visible though.

      @Block builder Okay, back to the drawing board. Thanks for a hint as I figured it was just my bad luck with it falling badly. Will try again.

      @Block builder - I changed my rating.
      I would never have seen the other win and therefore wouldn't have tried to get to it. Hence my frustration on working with the falling item.

      I still see the Paradox.

      Thanks

      @Block builder - I tried it again my other way and won.
      I dropped the ball and clicked the win - B ran, jumped off and landed between the two rails on the ground. B walked into the button and won (the button doesn't seem to work from the bottom side?). Just lucky this time I guess.

      This is what the name/concept came from:

      Paradox 1: To get up on the left side, you need to take the right side and push the slider, only to find that the lower left side becomes blocked (and vice versa).

      Solution: Push it back with momentum so it moves 2 blocks.

      Paradox 2: To make the win accessible, drop the ball. As you drop the ball, the win becomes inaccessible in a (hopefully) unexpected way.

      Solution: Back to the drawing board and consider both paradoxes together. What assumption must be wrong? At this point I hope players start to disregard the obvious win.

      @gmacpro Yes that was lucky. You deserve it. :D

      Indeed, win bottoms don't trigger.

      Nice and rewarding level!
      Although I'm not a fan of hidden elements, the level did illustrate the concept perfectly. I spent a lot of time on the obvious path before realizing the alternative one :D

      Im fooled.. But thanks its nice level..

      @Block builder I am trying to solve this and it's impossible. I cant reach the ball.
      Found a second win, but cant reach it
      What do you mean by “push it back with momentum....“
    • Block builder
      @imposiblelevels Can you please put your remark in a spoiler?

      The second win is the intended solution. Read my earlier comments to read how this level is designed with paradoxal theories.
    • imposiblelevels
      @Block builder Ohh yes, i forgot to do the spoiler.
      But I cant understand what is that pushing with a momentum. A trick or?
