Long ball run borrowed from @Don G Rowe and his level "Xplorium III". "The Ballroom Blitz" is a 1973 single from the British glam rock group Sweet. The next time it surfaced was on the U.S. version of their album "Desolation Boulevard" released in 1975, and it got a lot of airplay. Oddly enough, it wasn't on the U.K. version of that album, which was released the year before, and the U.S. version also included another single of theirs (again, not on the U.K. version), "Fox on the Run", which soared up the charts. Their last big hit was the radio edit version of "Love is Like Oxygen" from their 1978 album "Level Headed".
Nice, and much longer than expected. Back in the day, there was a Glam Rock Name Generator site, and mine was "Ginchy Twinklepants".
I just played @Don G Rowe 's Explorium III, loved that too. At first glance quite similar style, but in fact very different to play, ! Thoroughly enjoyed this one too. I like the way you can run around and go back if you missed something, then run back and carry on, ! I wondered if the the 'ballroom' reference had something to do with a certain TV show, . The latest series has just got going here in GB.
@D.S.Masters There was also a Blues Name Generator that gave you a blues name that consisted of an affliction, a fruit and a US President's last name. So you'd get some pretty hilarious combinations like "Deaf Strawberry Grant" or "Crippled Kiwi Carter" … you know, the kind of stuff the Interwebs were made for …
@D.S.Masters . You have a knack of making me feel very old. Bopping to “ballroom blitz” at Glasgow University discos. Great times.
