I gave it a go and after 5 attempts B wasn't on the grass by the lift yet so just gave up. Too much precision for me even though it was only 3 taps to win.

EDIT - Correction - 4 taps and two slides

Neat little puzzle. It's definitely minimalist, ! I didn't find the timing too difficult to get, but there isn't really enough to do.
