Star Penguin

Room 404

We're sorry, the room you have requested does not exist. Without a home, B wanders aimlessly around, through, and on top of the apartments... (hints provided in caption, one trick is needed)

@hadi - Yes, I understand how tapping on Pillar-R heads can be frustrating. That somewhat demanding "ability" step was a negative point in my rating balanced out by a +1 for originality. I included a solution video for you (and others) in case that helps:
Please excuse the squeaky noises made when I tried sliding my finger on the screen. In other words, turn your volume down before viewing.

I'm also sorry that the last tap (excluding the one on the win) did not show up as a bubble on the second Pillar-R's head.

@kathryn rogers - Apart from the above video and the point made within the spoiler regarding the absent tap bubble, I'll offer this explanation:
The final trick is yet another Autopilot induced jump routine, this time in an L shape. With the two Pillar-Rs next to each other beyond that three-grid platform, B is able to walk over both their heads. Thus tapping on the head of the second Pillar-R and raising the draggable quickly will force B to autopilot over the stone half-pillar and metal block. The absence of another block beyond the metal block will cause B to take to the air. But as soon as he hits the wedge facing him from the middle roof, he attempts to correct his overshoot and simultaneously go left (as if to reach the head of the second Pillar-R, i.e. making the assumption that he is still at their elevation). This produces the result of taking to the air once more and thus falling to the roof with the win.
      Does that help?

I did not even think that the final move would be a simple auto-pilot:eek::confused:. How unproductive I was looking for a special and weird move.
However, thank you for the video:rolleyes:

Thank you for this particular level you designed.:thumbsup:I'm sorry that this time I could not fully understand the logic:confused:. Of course, it's probably due to the tiredness of working and trying to find a solution at the end of the night and sleepiness.

      @nGord got it!!! Thanks!! Xoxo

Agreed with everything @Block builder and @Chuckthulhu said. A terrific puzzle with clever reuse of intuitive tricks, each time in a slightly different way that keeps surprising the player till the end. I also didn’t see the ending coming, but in hindsight there was only one option so it was really doable even without being aware of the trick. This is a good example for other creators regarding how to strike a balance between trickiness and logic without sacrificing each other. ;)

First of all sorry for rating it after such a long time but I could only complete it the precious night. Thanks for providing those well explained hints because I dont think I could complete this level without those. You already know, I'm not good at difficult levels :p. But that secretion of dopamine, endorphin and serotonin was worth it. ;)

  • The trick needed is: exploiting Autopilot
    1. To climb the slider at the front of the tallest building
    2. To perform jumps using the slider at the front of the tallest building
    3. To push in the window at the back of the tallest building (also known as Hercules, but really a variation on Autopilot )
Two balls need to be pushed before anything else. B pushes only one of the, someone else pushes the other.
There are three different jumps that need to be pulled off, all starting from the same position (on the slider in front of the tallest building). There may be some intermediate steps that need to be done in between the jumps. ;)
    1. The first jump works after a certain ball has been pushed to serve as a landing spot for B. By tapping the end of the stone ledge and then quickly raising the slider, B will perform a simple fall.
    2. The second jump requires pillar-R to be stuck under a wedge, and the aforementioned window must also be pushed in. By tapping on pillar-R and then quickly raising the slider, B will reach new heights.
    3. The third jump requires a second pillar-R to be stuck trying to walk into the space under the first pillar-R's head. By tapping on the second pillar-R and then quickly raising the slider, B will perform some daring acrobatics. ;)
