@Mythium.Core Your video shows "Boogie botting" (random fast tapping around a target) even to access the hidden slider. Again, not a good design scheme because the player has to know the exploit, or just tap around frantically which takes the problem-solving aspect out of game play. :(

I am the first to admit that I made a hasty mistake to include Boogie Bot Bug in my first published level - it's not a recommended or fun way to play. But in @Mythium.Core's defence, he did publish this level to the Playable Bug/Exploit Levels category.

Then again, I'd like to emphasize @gmacpro's comment that if you're already using some inertia-based bugs to complete the level - and that is your core game mechanic - then the design should most definitely attempt to prevent the use of inertia-based bugs (BBB or ToA) where not intended.

Furthermore, to make it more enjoyable for the players, some hint or lead-in to the fact that BBB is needed would help. For ToA we've been suggesting that if you insist on including it on purpose, that you use a sideways mounted half-pilar at the end of the three-block run. For BBB you might want to colour the two blocks that need to be tapped. Just some ideas...

Edit: bold text above was added upon re-reading.

But if the category is out there, it can be used to upload levels by. I wanted to make a level that is confusing yet possible. Sorry if it made people triggered in a sense, if i do make another one (Maybe i will, considering this level has over double the views as my second most clicked level), Ill make it a bit more reasonable and less confusing.

@Mythium.Core I would advise against posting click bait levels.

      What is BBB trick?o_O
    • nGord
The Boogie Bot Bug (BBB) was the first discovered inertia-based exploit. Here is some text I prepared for it:

“Boogie Bot Bug” (the first “Inertia Bug”)
If you move B back and forth, especially around the corner of a hole or set of blocks, he will get dizzy. If you get him dizzy enough, his weight will be enough to make him fall (either up onto or down from a block).

Here's a video of the Boogie Bot Bug:
Note that in this video I helped B a bit by tapping the floor and then the platform in each respective case in order to help him go where I wanted him. It is possible to simply do the alternating taps around the hole/red block and have B fall or climb without the additional tap as well.

@nGord Ah, ok! I know this trick, but I did not know his technical name. Thank you.

What is the "ToA" everyones talking about?
    • nGord
@Mushfiq Zaman - ToA is an acronym for Tripping on Air: an exploit of the game that is generally regarded as cheating. @vince introduced it in his level Square One II. At first people were impressed, but over time they realized that it could be used to break almost any level and thus take the fun out of the game. Today no good creator or player expects it to be used.

Technically speaking, ToA exploits the physics engine in the game. Since B has momentum, the game can be cheated to have him fall off a block by tapping at just the right time while he is walking. In this case you want to make him walk a straight line over three blocks, and just as he's going to step onto the third block, tap the third block. B will get confused and his momentum will cause him to fall off the far edge of the third block.
