      1969, July 20th - NASA Apollo 11 Mission Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first human to set foot on the moon. This level is dedicated to that event.
      It started with a goal to create natural bending knees with a stepping motion. I was also able to add ankles which pivot and allow the feet to conform to the ground with each step.
      After watching nothing but legs and feet walking across the screen, I knew that I had to finish the presentation. The unfolding body began to take shape, but it was unstable, off balance and continually fell over. That is when a back pack (which became a life support pack) was added. Following that, I changed the head to a faceless space helmet, added the arms, gripping hands and a wrench (the wrench stabilizes the angle of the elbow and arm hang). I then repeatedly tweaked the overall appearance, after I decided to wait until the 56th anniversary of the first moon landing mission before posting.

      Very cool astronaut. I somehow won purely out of luck.

      This is UNIMAGINABLE AND ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE for mekorama!!!:eek::eek::eek::thumbsup:
      I thought it was hard to surprise me, but you did it again!! How do you manage to do it! This is definitely a MEKO MASTERPIECE!!!
      SUPER! SUPER! SUPER!
      I am very delighted! Both the design and the realistic movement of the legs!! I thought it was impossible in mekorama. But you did it.
      Of course, OF COURSE 5+++!
      THANK YOU, WELL DONE

      Rare level indeed. Amazing build.
      May i know what is the intended playstyle of collecting stars?

      If Neil Armstrong played mekorama he would definitely give 7 stars

      Im sorry Neil :rotf:
      Very cool level, only you can make something like this:thumbsup::thumbsup:

      Lost for words. I specifically walked to my son to show this. Amazing.

      Houston, we have a problem (OK, that was a few years later, but ...)!! :eek:

      First time my astronaut unfolded in zero gravity, floating horizontally, second try everything worked nicely and he started walking by his own. Later when trying to catch the little star next to the head with his arm, he suddenly tipped over. Bad accident for the astronaut, but good for me and easier collecting the stars. Mission accomplished. :cool:

      @97 NinetySeven, this is a truly beautiful and detailed kinetic sculpture you have created here, and I enjoyed the "moon walk/space walk/space accident" adventure a lot. :D

      An amazing level to commemorate the historic event, many thanks! :thumbsup:

      Bnaut looks supercool walking slowly in zero gravity.

      Bravo! B is dwarfed by the figure! He did not walk for me but floated up like a baby lying flat looking up, legs dangling in the air.

      I won by pulling the legs down which made them slide out! The balance was gone and he crashed to the floor. That took most of the stars. I was able to walk to the others easily.

      Not sure if this is the correct way to win?

      I liked the spanner! Great attention to detail all round.

      Thank you to all my Meko friends!!!!!
      Thank you for Playing!
      Thank you for the kind Comments!!
      Thank you for the generous Ratings!!!
      Thank you for the support!!!! And,
      Thank you for the encouragement!!!!!

      I strive for (and can only hope to continue) designing levels that are unique in some manner…
      Most, in their visual presentation, some with new mechanism discoveries, some with varied or different application of existing mechanisms, but above all to simply be enjoyable and interesting.

      @Denis Nazin thank you for taking the time to comment. your kind words are greatly appreciated. Surprising you is definitely a bonus acknowledgment to me.

      @Denis Nazin, дякую, що знайшли час залишити коментар. Ваші добрі слова дуже цінуються. Те, що ви мене здивували, — це безумовно додаткова подяка для мене.

      @Propesyonal most of my levels are visual or artistic in presentation and venture into the “white space” outside of the 16x16 main field. In this area Bot behaviors or actions become different making structured (normal) play difficult.
      Chasing down the moving stars is the challenge, as is using the articulating arm with the draggable finger to capture the star beside the helmet.
    • 97 NinetySeven
      @alarcon thank you
      You found a weakness of the design. The fully separate items (legs) can disengage. The arms can also become completely separated if you (violently?) shake the structure.
