No zappers. Spoiler possible new concept -Proximity Sensor. I've tried to ensure stable play before publishing. Please advise otherwise Spoiler: what should happen B should be prevented from taking the short route via a drop down metal column which should retract when he moves away
Ok so super simple and containing only a single feature, but what a feature! Totally surprising and no idea how that works. Last time I checked there were no sensors in the editor.
@Block builder all legal and legit build, no hacking Thanks for the first forum test. Will expose mech in due course.
@ArGee Aw, can't you post it now? This effect is known as the forcefield effect (things that get triggered when B gets near), but so far the discoveries have just been making motors reverse, stop, or go, changing the direction of balls, and making things fall. This is very interesting, especially since the slider shoots down at incredible speed. If the effect can be replicated sideways, then an powerful, automatic ball shooter can be made.
Definitely forcefield effect. The build method that allows this is straight forward and has many other uses that I've explored from triggers to rerouting. It definitely needs a team effort to fully explore the capabilities, and I'm very eager to see that. No horizontal shooting yet, though it might be possible via a secondary. However, allow me the fun of the mystery a little moment longer before I release it into the wild. I'll upload the exposed mech in the next 24hrs (if it hasn't been worked out or the QR upacked before then )
Seems promising Would be even better if it could be deactivated or reactivated. It seems really reliable anyway !
@vince B doesn't need to cause the activation. Can be done with bots, movables, motors, etc. ie. a slider can be used to switch the mech. I've added a topic to the Bugs n Exploits forum, introducing the method. It's waiting moderation.
This is... this is... ... how did you do it?! This is cool and surprising! Another great feature. I didn't know this was possible. (Played this 2 days ago and decided to comment just now. )
@Logo thx. Not the greatest gameplay. More to introduce the find. Mech is explained in bugs forum. It's a pain to build the mech as a change during build can change the operation, but once published to a working card, the mech is stable in play.
