A coincidence that my gameplay is totally similar to yours. I enjoyed and loved playing this level, because it is short and there are no zappers. And I figured out that

the star ball isn't needed at all, while finishing the level, and I saw ur gameplay and concluded it's a red herring

at first I thought that the ball with the star should be pushed so I spent some time trying to figure it out...my bad ...also when I catched the star on the ball did not see the obvious step,that was wait in the opposite side to P to catch the last star so I found another cool way...when P bended after passing that block used "his" belly to put B onto P & went happilly to catch the last star
