Diagonal Steps

This is primarily a demo and training level. But there is a little gameplay here - I think it is also fun and interesting. This is a trick level!

      Thank you very much, my dear friend! I am sincerely very, very glad that you did it !! I know that it is difficult when you don’t know how to do it. BUT after two days of torment, I found a 100% stable and obedient salvation how to do it. THIS is the main goal of this level - to convey the experience !!! I do not want the players to suffer as I did - 2 days. I wrote detailed instructions in the first comment and recorded an enlarged video. This information is MUCH easier to learn! I really wanted to make learning this trick easier for everyone! Therefore, the most valuable thing at this level is the first commentary and video instruction.
      "cancel tap" - is present at every step! I didn’t specify because this is part of the trick. What I describe in the first comment is step "3" and step "4". Both of these steps are - cansel tap. "3" - pressed exactly when B is BETWEEN blocks. "4" - pressed when B climbs over a block of grass and has not yet reached the stairs - we press cansel tap, and B remains on the grass. It's good that you clarified this! These last two clicks are essentially the "cansel tap".

      I am grateful to you. It was at your level that I accidentally got this trick! And I decided to learn how to do it well.

      But then I passed your level - just like in your video !! ;)

      I am very glad that there are players who can go through this easily. I'm very happy for you. But I am sad that you did not take into account the fact that I made this level as a DEMO and for TRAINING, training. This is for those who do not know how to do this trick !! OF COURSE I'm SPECIAL !!!! made the gameplay after the stairs as simple and fun as possible! So that players who are tortured and very tired after learning on the stairs - can relax and just have fun completing the game !! This is done SPECIALLY! I didn't want to complicate and torment tired players!
      In addition, I built a beautiful gazebo to make it a pleasure for the players to be on the level, and to make their workout easier due to the pleasant atmosphere. This is also a very thoughtful psychological moment. To make it pleasant for the players to be on the level. (by the way, I altered the details of the gazebo about 5 times - so that it looked perfect).
      I wrote very detailed instructions in the first comment and did the translation for more than 1 hour. To make it clear and accessible.
      It’s a pity that you didn’t appreciate it.
      But this is your right. I understand that it was easy for you. But this level is for the majority!

      By the way, at your only level - no design at all and only one trick! Which I am very good at doing - I did it in one second. But I gave you 4(as well as many other players). But I want to say again - the rating is your personal right! I'm not offenced!! but I'm a little sad)).

      @Denis Nazin Yep, i agree with you that your first comment and video explained this step very detailed and precisely. And the two images also helped me a lot to see the difference between diagonal step and Boogie Bot. Thanks for showcasing this trick to the players and I appreciate your effort of finding the most reliable solution to this step for two days. But I think this trick has the same disadvantage as the Boogie Bot trick. It'll ruin some level and causes numerous shortcuts. So with this level, players get to know about it and will try to place the blocks in a particular way so as to prevent this trick. Or perhaps they can build a level based on this trick just like what you did in this level.

      @mastersifu
      Oh my dear friend !!! Yes Yes Yes!! This is exactly what I wanted to tell you. I totally, 100 percent agree with you !!
      We've already talked about this (I don't remember at what level...). In my opinion, the shortcuts associated with triks are IMPOSSIBLE to avoid! There are a lot of them and they are very variable. And for this, I believe at each level we must follow the rules set by the author of the level. If the level is without tricks, you need to pass it without tricks! If you have written a list of tricks, you need to go through with these tricks. This is the only way out - the consciousness and decency of the players! For this reason, for a long time I did not evaluate your level - because I knew that I had passed it wrong! But when I watched your video, I went through correctly and put a rating.
    • Lang Tao Jin
      @Denis Nazin Agree.
      Logic levels need to be passed logically, rather than using tricks to find shortcuts. Shortcuts are hard to avoid, but if we stipulate the nature of the level, we should not try shortcuts again

      Just seen your comment right now and I'm speechless. Calm down man, my 3 stars isn't bad and I had fun (as you can read). Cheeeez, people these days... :rolleyes:

      @R 'oland OK friend. Everything is fine. Perhaps in English my wording sounds a little different. But in Russian, I am very delicate. I apologize if something is wrongly translated and worded. I just wanted to convey to you the idea that for many on this forum, ratings are very important and they put their whole soul into their levels. That's all. I'm not offended at all. Everything is fine. I wanted you to be more sensitive about the other participants. BUT when I saw that you are betting 5 new players - I really praised you! You are well done! And you're doing the right thing. New players can get very frustrated with bad ratings. I don’t know why you called me "unhealthy." I praised you :rotf:;)!

      @Lang Tao Jin
      Many players will use shortcuts to finish the level, I think it's not up to someone else to judge if this shouldn't be done like this. I can only speak for myself, and I like logic levels, but I like the challenge to finish a level as fast as possible better.
    • Lang Tao Jin
      @R 'oland Don't worry, I won't be overly depressed because of the different ratings. But I want to say, in my opinion:

      Passing the level as quickly as possible is indeed a great challenge, and it is indeed worthy of explore. I don't deny the challenge of shortcuts and speed passes in logic levels, but the shortcuts found through these challenges should not be used to rate levels. Because these shortcuts are not the author’s original intention, nor the original intention of this level.

      But this also gave me a reminder that when making logic levels, try to consider the generation of shortcuts and think of ways to prevent them.

      Sorry, I don’t mean anything malicious or critical, I just want to express my personal opinion here. Everyone has their own ideas for different levels, and we should try to all understand them.:)

      @Denis Nazin - I'm glad I went back and finished this level. The first time I played it I got frustrated by the diagonal stairs, but this time I got past them, and I really enjoyed the second half of the level. Knocking over the columns was fun.
    • Denis Nazin
      @MekaSage
      Oh my friend! I am very glad that you managed to pass the steps! I am happy that you won and that you enjoyed the sequel! I am very happy! I also really like to push the columns))))).
      Thank you very much. ;)
    • Denis Nazin
      @MekaSage @Lang Tao Jin @R 'oland @mastersifu and others...
      I wanted to say
      I'm glad this card is fulfilling its mission. And the players learn this trick.

      But I really want to ask all players - do not use this trick on logic levels !!! Proceed as the author intended. Please respect and appreciate the great work, idea and creativity of the level authors !!!!!! This is just a very big request !. My friends and I discussed this above. And I agree that stunts are a lot of fun BUT they spoil the idea of the level and really upset the author! Please proceed as intended. It is IMPOSSIBLE to avoid all possibilities of using unwanted tricks. Especially on complex buildings and long labyrinths.
      I have now laid out a new "between block jump" trick. Its variations have been used before (but I found a way to do it very steadily). But if you learn how to do it well, it works on almost all blocks (not counting grass and soil). I wanted to say that with such tricks you can go through the most impassable places of the levels. It's fun as a gimmick. But very undesirable for logical levels. This is my opinion - "It is necessary to respect the idea of the author !!!!".
      And, of course, assess the level - only by the CORRECT supposed decision! The exception, in my opinion, are labels that do not contradict the rules specified by the author (labels without tricks, and labels with tricks that the author indicated).
      This is my opinion. And just a human request. ;)

      @Lang Tao Jin
      The creator is free to wish that the players should rate the level based on the intended solution. The players are free to rate how they like the level as they play it.

      In my opinion, there is too much drama in this discussion, but I accept any opinion. For me, this is the spirit of a forum. Love you all, no matter what you think: meko heroes!
