When the path is infinite, only 16 grids will be calculated. Anything outside of the 16 grids will not be tap unless the path is truncated to make it a finite length. The size of the map is limited, and the only way to make the path infinite is to connect to the open ground.

Interesting and fun level. After reading @935 explanation, is P used to block the way to the white space(which result in a finite length) so B can tap on the red brick which is more than 16 grids from B's initial position?
