Tree Patrol

Patrolling the giant heritage tree at the national park is tough business for B, especially when dealing with the mean tasing Zap. And yet, B will need the dangerous bot's help after all.

      @Meko Guy Thanks for the demo card. Why does B have to do a stair trick lol. Anyway..

      @Meko Guy Z spins just the tiniest second, while on top of P, then immediately steps on the win, a little wobbly, as if he almost doesn't make it. It's an exhilarating, breath-taking, will-he-or-will-he-not-make-it move, which some might not be comfortable with, but I like it.

      Also, the challenge is to keep B alive till the very end, without getting zapped by Z. :)

      @Meko Guy , Also this.

      If P is frozen P, R steps and crosses just fine straight on.
      If P is just regular, (cornered by B perhaps), R still steps on, then traipses to the other side with a flair.

      I love tiny flair of the foot, as opposed to the stiff march.

      If the distance is just one cube away as in this level, R or Z will manage fine.

      @mothproof - This sample card works well but not the actual card so I don't know why?

      Not really know the way to pass it but I won by P

      @F D Congrats! This is just an easy puzzle, hehe.

      Too frustrating. :mad:

      @Meko Guy I know why. I will make an analogy: In the demo, All bots are 'full of energy' at first, then they immediately do that move, so it works well. In the actual level, All bots are also 'full of energy', but after doing different moves, they are 'tired' so they can't do that move as well as in the demo. Also, the environment in the demo and the actual level is different so it may cause different results. Don't know if you will understand... :confused:

      @EL797 Ive also thought before that the demo and the actual environment may have an effect on the bots behavior, but I don't think so. The instability Meko Guy was talking about was because R was spinning on top of P, and he suggested in his demo card to make the win one block higher so R will always climb on the block and not spin. However, I didnt want that since I want to make the win climbable by both B and R.

      @mothproof
      Yes, with Z became super unstable and flew to the win...
    • EL797
      @mothproof Not only the environment affects the bots... read my analogy above...
    • mothproof
      @EL797 Lol. What's wrong with ur Z's. Theyre pretty stable for me.
    • EL797
      @mothproof I am sure that my Z will be very stable If you add a freezing point for P.

      @EL797

      So this is my 35th playtest and R always steps on the win with a flair. Doesn't fly or stumble.
      I dont believe that's unstable.
      Plus B is alive, doesn't get zapped which happens when you come rushing behind P with zapper already close by.

      B acts as a stopper for P enough. If I added a stopper like a draggable underfoot, there's no point in B following beside P anymore, but I need him to follow P. So no need for any stabilizer other than B, especially if the distance is just one block away.
      Don't get scared or frustrated by a tiny bit of "instability".

      P.S. Ive had to trim the vid. Internet upload speed is hell right now. :(
