Hole in Yor Soul

"Hole in Your Soul" (darn the title limit) is a song from the Swedish pop group ABBA (Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn, Anni-Frid) from their 5th studio album, appropriately titled "The Album", in 1977. Most people know them as disco and pop, but when they first started out they were doing rock 'n roll as well... this song is one of their 'rockers', upbeat and fun. (check out songs such as "Bang-A-Boomerang", "Tiger", or "Hey, Hey Helen"... still much quieter than anything that Led Zep has done, but very nice. Heck, even "Intermezzo No. 1" has some kick to it).
Their final album, "The Visitors" in 1982, was one of the first albums ever to be digitally mixed and recorded, and probably the first to be released on the new CD format; after that the group dissolved because Benny and Frida split up, and half the songs on the album reflect that.
Some of the members went on to solo careers, but the only song I know (and like) is "(I Know There's) Something's Going On" by Frida, from the album "Something's Going On"... also released in 1982, which should tell you something.

There's another song you might know from the ABBA solo careers ... "One Night in Bangkok" from the musical Chess. Bjorn wrote the score, with Tim Rice on book. It got quite a bit of radio play and was a bigger club hit. The musical itself didn't have much of a run, although it's quite good.

I love the HOLE!! My only complaint is the disappointment when I realized I had got there and the exploration was over, ! I wanted to keep going. So I guess I will just have to go back and go round all over again!!
