Welcome to the forum. Nice 1st level - the water wasn't required but I'm glad you shared. I followed the entire Trek and it wasn't hard but it was enjoyable. Here's sometime to keep in mind in the future when making levels. If I tap and forget to wait for B then B may find a shortcut. Spoiler: Shortcut
@Meko Guy Yeah, I saw the same one right off the bat... plenty of places in the level for an autopilot drop.
Welcome to the madhouse. Not bad for a first level, but as @Meko Guy shows, there are some things that you need to avoid. Otherwise, not bad - maybe a little too large for what's needed, but you avoided a lot of the beginner mistakes: you only have 1 zapper, there are no free draggables, and you don't use any slow movers. B has a clean path, nothing hidden or difficult. Waiting to see what you do next.
@D.S.Masters - I didn't see it actually until I won with the trek method. After winning, I seen the start and the win so close together and had to help this author out by showing her. @Mare9548 - As @D.S.Masters has mentioned when you tap some place and move the slider and B misses the slider that is a trick that has been named auto pilot. Auto pilot is a wonderful thing - something you'll learn in time. For example, I did a tap and B missed but you can also move the slider tap where the slider was and move it back and B will climb up one level to get to the tapped spot.
@Meko Guy Too many zappers and slow movers will get me to avoid a level. Not fond of free draggables either. And definitely not fond of hidden.
Thanks for the feedback! @Meko Guy @D.S.Masters. I don't know how I missed that shortcut but I'm glad you told me. If I fix it, can I reupload the level? And ha! I avoided the beginner's mistakes because those things are what I don't like at a level. I hate them. I like a clear path (with possible solvable obstacles), need to see where I'm going, etc. Although, I did use an extra draggable just for decorative purposes only. It's so inconsequential and hidden that you missed it, I think
@Mare9548 No need to fix it and reupload, unless you feel a desperate urge to. My second level had so many newbie mistakes in it that it wasn't funny, including some of the things I now hate. If you're interested, check out my tutorial "What not to do" (https://mekoramaforum.com/media/what-not-to-do.14538/) which not only shows a decent list of things to avoid, but also has quite a few comments from pro builders.
Hi & welcome! Interesting & FUN first level...nice path & although my Meko-friends are right about shortcuts, it is your first level and you still have a lot to learn ... Honestly this level is 4 stars according to my way of evaluating, averaging between gameplay and design but I have a habit of adding an extra star ONLY on the first level ... One way to motivate new creators Thanks for sharing @Mare9548 Btw...I'll waiting for your next one
Nice one, especially for a first effort, . I know there are shortcuts, but you will soon learn to spot those and block them. I let B explore the whole route and it was great, I like the design, the water gives it a bit of atmosphere and as the structure is very open it doesn't obscure the view. Great start, I am looking forward to your next, !
@BangTe @GFJ @delator77 @Jom thank you for your thoughts and encouragement. I learn from my mistakes so I'll be more vigilant next time. Because yes, more levels are on the way.
