What I've done is really simple. I'm frequenting the informatic university and I've learned how to modify a QR code. After some months of work and research I've figured out how the mekorama QR code works. And i've made this level.
While you guys are debating how @meko got rid of the grass, I'm enjoying solving the puzzle and admiring the fresh landscape (that hasn't been used in some time). I counted my first crack at it as 28 moves, tap, move, tap to win. Rather easy, but not boringly so. I liked the fact that it's a categorical puzzle with plenty of moves and nice art. Thanks for the play!
Oh, and my wager on how @meko removed the grass: I think he built it with grass blocks one layer higher than needed, crashed the level with zappers (or something), and then removed the top grass layer. This is coming from a non-designer. Steps one and two may be out of order, and since there are some metal blocks in the landscape as well, the process may have needed to be repeated.
P.S. The first instance that I saw using this "desert" technique was @Caken 's level called "Dat Ufo" on 25 May 2016.
The puzzle is wonderful! I have counted: 27 moves. @meko : So you're not a QR Code hacker? Indeed, I haven't get the technic yet. It really gives the impression of a desert (as in the @Caken level). Well done!
Caken in his unplayable(not sure)level "dat UFO" didn't explain how to do the "desert effect". After a lot of research and reasonings (and a bit of luck) I've figured out how to do this effect
