The level started out challenging and the 2nd ball didn't always go into the hole. After that it was very short or did I find a shortcut?

Spoiler: Shortcut?

-Send B along the back rail slider to get to the other end
-Have B wait on stairs
-As R passes, get on
-Send R back to the win

Move B one step forward then right after pillar R drop the 1st ball, quickly tap on the steel block beside the second ball, and that's it

red herring. After a bit of study, I just ran B around directly to deflect the one ball, then slider + R to the win.
