      No tricks.
      B mini game,
      R Demo
      Time - 2:11
    • Denis Nazin
      The essence of the demonstration:
The R(L) of the bot can be shifted to the side relative to the mekorama grid. After this, the bot can walk incorrectly for a very long time, or in a shifted coordinate position, if it walks exclusively on static blocks. It immediately returns to its normal position if it interacts with any dynamic block, or runs into an obstacle.
      MAIN DEMONSTRATION:
R(L) bot after displacement may behave incorrectly: When descending from the ladder in one direction of the coordinate axis IT TURNS SIDEWAY!!!
And until he returns to normal - he will do this CONSTANTLY! This is the main point of the demonstration at this level

Yes, a demo... but with super cool R moves. I did not read your comment until I completed the level so you can imagine my surprise when I saw all those R moves while I was thinking:"no way, no way, something is wrong, R can't take that star":rotf:.спасибо @Denis Nazin ;)
btw, I would like to see a bigger level using those moves, it would be very interesting, don't you think?
    • Denis Nazin
@delator77 Thank you very VERY much my friend ;)
Yes, I agree with you, a big level would be cool. But I still have a LOT of demo levels, mini levels, and demo level tricks, I don't know what to do with all these cards:confused::rotf:
That's why my priority is to post more of my cards with ideas.;)
      Спасибо:D

It was fun watching the off centre bot wandering around and capturing the stars.

@ridgerunner Thank you VERY MUCH my friend, I'm very glad that you liked :D;)

I had to play it twice after missing a star. I can't understand why R does what he does but that is interesting. At one point he goes down some stairs but doesn't carry on walking down the grass. Instead he turns right! And why does he fall off the level from the win block at the end?

A good looking level (a pity the water wasn't used). I am keen for you to publish all your demos! Perhaps you could make a forum post and just upload dozens of them there? That would save waiting a day to upload each one. Players can learn new physics and tricks from your demos!

I know the offset thing but I wasn't aware of it'll make R turns after coming down from a stair. That's new to me so thanks for sharing. And indeed it was satisfying watching R collecting all the stars up there. And I guess there's one small trick involved?
Squat drop? When B is pushed between the rails.
    • Denis Nazin
@Chris Hester Thank you SO MUCH my friend!
Why P behaves like this is explained in the second comment. And about why P falls at the end: Because he is offset relative to the mekorama grid and in addition he stumbles, the ball is at a distance and at different heights relative to the win block.

Regarding all my cards - YES! Good advice:thumbsup:, I want to do this. I just need to find time for it.
      Thank you ;)

@ohmytian Thank you VERY much my friend, I'm happy that you liked.:D
Regarding the rail and crouching: yes, you are right. But usually it requires timing. I made an upper height limiter - so crouching happens automatically and the player does not need any skills. That is why I indicated that there are no tricks, since the player does not need to do them, it happens automatically.
Auto "squeeze" onto the rail and auto "squat" with descent down from the rail.;)

I was trying to make an offset bot level recently and found it difficult to make a path that caused consistent bot behavior. Your technique in the level seems more stable.
    • Denis Nazin
@MekaSage Yes, the offset bot is very interesting. And I want to tell you that the R(L) bot is really stable compared to B. R(L) bots are bots that you can rely on and not worry about stability, unlike B:rotf:;)
For maximum offset, I use ball on - wedge + ladder!! This is almost half a block to the side!
To prevent the bot from returning to its original position, you need to strictly follow the rules in the second comment:
      1) only static blocks!!! on the path
      2) no interaction with dynamic blocks and other bots
      3) no obstacles or walls - which can mechanically stop the movement and return the bot to its original position.

Thank you VERY MUCH my friend ;)
