Hi everyone. @delator77 discover a new exploit while testing a new level I created. Here you can find the exploit: Spoiler: Atajo The question I have for you guys is whether you consider this to be a usable exploit or if you believe this could confuse the player and make him quit the level. In order for this exploit to work you need to create a gapp below the stairs and use Meko Studio to replace the top side stone stairs by metal stairs.
It is a different type of exploit, but once known (like the other exploits) it can be interesting ... it is a personal opinion !! It really is a non-intuitive exploit (because it's unknown, in fact I discovered it by chance and I made a demo to explain that it was not a doable step in normal situations) but that "door" changed everything ... Let's see what think the rest!!
I created the exact setup but I didn't use Mekostudio. So the stairs were stone stairs, not metal. And this exploit didn't work with stone stairs for me... In my opinion, this exploit will not be very useful for players as well as designers, that's because why would a designer try to confuse a player? If he really wants to make such setup he can use just two more blocks and make it... why to go for Mekostudio? But it's a good exploit and hopefully someone else can find a good use of it somewhere. Thanks!
You're right!! If this exploit does not work with all kinds of stairs, it would not be intuitive ... As I do not know how to create levels I do not know many things ... I have a question: is this exploit caused by the door or by the type of stairs?
I did another experiment, this time I used Mekostudio and made the door like this card but kept the stone stair as it is, as expected, the exploit didn't work again. So I think it's because of the stair, not the door.
In fact upon further exerperimentation it actually works like springboard stair, if you're going up the stair and a space below.
I think so too! It is an exploit more! Hercules, ToA, Sprinboard stairs, hover, etc. were unknown and someone discovered them and it has been shown to be useful for Mekorama so why is not this another beneficial exploit ?? As always, if the exploit is contextualized and justified, I see no problem in using it ... Now, it will be necessary to "baptize" it, right? Maybe DSD (Delator's Springboard Door)?
