Tutorial 4 is available, and has been indexed in the OP of this thread. It's about how designers can exploit a design mode constraint on model size in order to make certain stairs inaccessible.
I'm not sure if this is the proper place to put this or not, but whatever... What I'd like to see is a playable level that's also a tutorial, featuring everything that the R bot can (and cannot) do, from the basic 'right turn only unless blocked' to things that R can walk over but B can't (why can R walk on a metal (brown) pillar and not a stone (gray) one?), or backwards stairs, etc. I'm sure that *I* don't even know everything that R can do, so I imagine that a lot of newcomers have trouble figuring out some of these levels. With interaction, R can change directions, such as in the recent "Let's split" by @Astral_Mage ... and I've never seen an oblique directional change like the one in "Cave man" by @vince - totally neat. R can't be zapped, and he can walk across zappers even when they're not turning, but what else? I've also noticed that if R is on a draggable object, whether he is on the draggable cube or not, he will freeze in place if you touch the draggable, sort of like a pause button. Along the same lines, it might be useful to level builders to have several tutorials about how to build mechanisms... some are fairly easy to figure out, especially if you can see some of it, but complex ones such as in "Square one iii" by @vince ... whoa. Though I understand if some level designers don't want to give up their secrets or their design.
I know that you've seen it already but just for reference, such level has been made: R-bot Tricks Demo
I have went TOA link and not gotten the qr code all other info is there but the pic of the qr code richardfu's spirit was one. Why.
I'm sorry I'm not able to figure out the link that you followed. Could you please reply with the link?
@Shroomir, that is odd. I went to the link and everything seemed fine for me. Here is a screenshot: Spoiler: Screenshot of Spirits page Has refreshing the page fixed the problem by chance? How about going to other level pages - are they all working fine? Any idea why it might be happening so that we could try and investigate? Since I don't have access to the database or the server behind the forum there is probably not much we can do, but it is curious. Also, I'd be happy to get you a copy of just the QR code itself if the enclosed pic is not enough. Please let me know how I can help more. I'm definitely curious as to what is behind your experience. Thanks!
I've noticed it before usually when I go to links. Maybe it's just my old iPod I get all the comments but not the pic. I'll even go to the little picture frame thingy and it says cannot display media
It probably has something to do with the file size of the image. The first hundred or so levels that @richardfu / @richardfu_ uploaded were done directly using large images (at least 1MB each). Later it was found that uploading a level using the "Upload an image from a URL:" method didn't count against a member's upload quota and resulted in smaller files on the server. For example, the Spirit screenshot is a 1,262KB file while Superbot is only 192KB. So yes, it might actually be your old iPod - or at least the limitation of the WiFi transceiver in it. P.S. For sake of further comparison, my screenshot in my previous post came to 702KB.
I've updated the OP of this thread, including a hot-off-the-press mini tutorial collaboration by @gmacpro and @delator77, called Zapper Walker. Not to be missed!
Really appreciated it @trids BTW i also made a demo of walking on zapper. Here's the card Spoiler: Walk On Zapper Here's the explanation.
